Waterford’s First Friday Night Magic

We are delighted to announce Friday Night Magic (standard constructed format) at the Comixstop on 25 February. Registration from 6.30pm, starts at 7.15pm. Entry fee €5.00. 

There will be FNM promo cards and booster prizes as prizes. This is Waterford’s first Friday Night Magic event and I would urge all of you to attend. The local player base has grown a lot and FNM is your reward. Bring your friends! 

MBS Booster Draft Saturday 26 February

Mirrodin Besieged/Scars of Mirrodin/Scars of Mirrodin booster draft. Registration from 11.30am. Starts at 12.15 sharp. Entry fee €13.50. Rares and mythics drafted as prizes in order of tournament finish.

*There will be a short break of organised Magic activity at the Comixstop from 26 February to the 10 March. After this break, FNM will kick things off:

Learn to Draw your own Comic Book in Seven Easy Classes  

Ever wanted to make your own comic or create your own super heroes? Well now you can learn how to do just that at The Comixstop’s seven week comic book course starting on Thursday 9 September for 8 – 12 year olds.

Make your main characters come to life in this 60-minute class. You will write your story, come up with the main characters, set the scene, create and add buildings and background, lay out the pages of your comic, and learn how to ink, colour and shade. The class will be taught by qualified teacher Declan Pierce who studied at the Ballyfermot College of Further Eductation.  

When: Starting Thursday 9 September at 6 – 7pm

Cost: €60 for 7 week course
