Ever wanted to create your own super heroes?

Well now you can learn how to do just that at The Comixstop’s seven-week comic book course starting on Thursday 6 May for 8 – 12 year olds. Make your main characters come to life in this 60-minute class. You will write your story, come up with the main characters, set the scene, create and add buildings and background, lay out the pages of your comic, and learn how to ink, colour and shade.

When: Starting Thurs 6 May 6 – 7pm

Cost: €60 for 7 week course

Comixstop at Wexworlds

For one weekend only, The Comixstop will be transported across the River Suir from 115 The Quay, Waterford City to the Arts Centre at No.3 John Gate Street, Wexford for the Wexworlds Sci Fi and Fantasy Fiction Festival which runs from 20th to 22nd November.

The Comixstop has been trading in Waterford City for the last three years specializing in back issue comics, role play, trading card and miniature games. The Comixstop also sells a wide range of original art work painted by artist owner Declan Pierce. Declan paints everything from comic book characters to caricatures and fantasy art and welcomes commissions.

Over the weekend, The Comixstop will be hosting comic book sketch and signing sessions, Trading Card Game Tournaments (MTG) as well as miniature display games (Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, Hero Clix, Horror Clix, Halo etc.) as well as Dungeons and Dragons role play sessions.

A more detailed timetable can be collected from No. 3 John Gate Street during the festival and will be posted here closer to the event date.
